Richard Martin

Richard obtained his MSc in Theoretical Mechanical Engineering at the Hamburg University of Technology. His thesis was about the simulation and analysis of chaotically vibrating thin-walled satellite antennas. After his graduation he worked as a visiting fellow at the University of Technology Sydney, where he investigated termite structures from the perspective of dynamical systems.

Richard started his doctoral studies at CAPS laboratory in August 2020. His research focusses on designing acoustic metamaterials to suppress thermoacoustic instabilities for gas turbine applications.
