Chetankumar earned his doctorate in Aerospace Engineering (two-phase flows) from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (India) in July 2019. Following his PhD, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the National Center for Combustion R&D, where he conducted high-pressure combustion experiments as part of a collaborative project with GE Aviation, Bengaluru. Later, he joined the CNRS UMR6614 – CORIA in France as a postdoctoral researcher from October 2021 to March 2024. During this period, he investigated complex interface morphology of complex flows using two-photon LIF technique and curvature-based analysis. Currently (from April 2024), Chetankumar is a member of CAPS Lab, where he focuses on fuel-flexible operations using the LEan Azimuthal Flame (LEAF) concept in the direction of zero-carbon and ultra-low NOx emissions.
