Quentin completed his Ph.D. at CERFACS in December 2020, under the guidance of Prof. Thierry Poinsot and Dr. Olivier Vermorel. During his Ph.D. work, Quentin studied pre-chamber ignition concept to leverage lean-burn strategies in internal combustion engines. For this, he used a wide range of numerical simulation tools including kinetically detailed direct numerical simulation, large eddy simulation and zero-dimensional modelling.
Shortly after, Quentin joined the CAPS laboratory as a postdoctoral researcher. He is now working on a joint experimental/computational project to investigate the physics of sequential flame stabilization in sequential burners using non-equilibrium plasma.
